SEND overview

Every student known, included and supported

At Yateley School, we believe that every student deserves the best possible education, regardless of their individual needs. We provide high-quality teaching and tailored support for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

01

What is SEND?

Students with SEND may have greater difficulty learning than their peers, or may have physical or mental impairments that significantly impact their day-to-day activities.

02

Identification

We assess needs through classroom observations, regular progress reviews and information from primary schools, families and external professionals where appropriate.

03

Classroom support

Teachers make reasonable adjustments such as visual aids, additional time, adapted resources and structured routines to help students engage fully with the curriculum.

04

Interventions

Some students may need extra support, including small-group interventions or time in dedicated Student Support spaces.
