BTEC – Business
The Business Studies department aims to provide our students with an understanding of how the businesses all around us operate and the impact they have on our economy and our society. Students are encouraged to think as business people and leaders, to see new business opportunities and strategies for success in the context of current events and a business environment that is constantly changing.

BTEC – Applied Science
BTEC applied science course is designed to offer students the opportunity to gain the knowledge, understanding and skills required to become occupationally ready and to take up employment in the applied science sector.
BTEC – Creative Digital Media Production
The Media department aims to provide students with the skills and knowledge required to analyse and interpret digital media productions with an excellent grounding in understanding the film and media industry!
BTEC – Criminology
The Criminology Level 3 Diploma is a basic grounding in what criminologists do. You'' study forensics, campaigns on crime and theories explaining criminal behaviour based on case studies which draw students in and encourage them to explore the subject further.
BTEC – Dance
The Dance department support students who are keen to study a practical course and enjoy performing and choreography, as well as analysing dance practitioners. Many students go onto study at specialist dance and drama colleges!
BTEC – Food Science and Nutrition
Food science has been designed to offer exciting, interesting experiences that focus learning for 16 - 19-year-old learners through applied learning, i.e. through the acquisition of knowledge and understanding in purposeful, work-related contexts, linked to the food production industry.
BTEC – Music Production
Students participate in a real-life scenario they are likely to encounter in the workplace. This course covers a wide range of areas including; recording techniques, live sound, computer based audio production, music and sound for media, remixing and also music technology for performance.
BTEC – Production Arts
Students demonstrate their skills and knowledge in a real-life scenario they are likely to encounter in the workplace covering a wide range of areas including; Selecting and rigging lights, programming complex lighting desks, stage management and production health and safety.
BTEC – Sport
We aim to ensure that our students can go out into the dynamic sporting industries with the attributes necessary to be successful employees and leaders in an ever-changing sports society.Â
BTEC L3 – Travel and Tourism (2-year)
BTEC Travel & Tourism aims to develop an understanding of the world around us. Travel & Tourism students are encouraged to be curious about all countries around the world and the reasons why people live, work and travel in these areas.
CACHE L3 – Childcare
The Technical level Diploma aims to provide our students with the knowledge, skills and practice to enter the workforce as Early Years Educators or access higher education.
