Endeavour and determination have paid off for Yateley School students who are celebrating their GCSE results. Following an unprecedented year and enormous anxiety, the excellent Year 11 students have been rewarded with results that reflect their hard work and performance throughout their courses. Importantly, these are door opening qualifications that pave the way for excellence in the future, be that in the Sixth Form or elsewhere. We wish all our students well and congratulate them on their achievement.
The very best student performances came from Isabelle Cole, Megan Scotford, Ciaran Donegan, Daniel Morgan, Phoebe Sheaand Jack Benyon who shared 40 grade nine results between them.
At a subject level, there was excellent performance from Maths, English, Graphics, Computer Science, Food technology, Dance and Drama.
Headteacher, Paul German paid tribute to the exceptional hard work, talent and dedication of staff, students and parents. “Today is about the students and I am very pleased for our young people and want to pay tribute to the whole team here at Yateley School”. The grades were calculated with enormous care and we carried out this process fairly and with integrity. Mr German went on to say, “For the young people this represents excellent opportunities ahead and bright prospects; we are extremely proud of their achievements, made all the more so in such challenging circumstances.” “We continue to build on our successes and look to ensure that children of all backgrounds and abilities thrive at Yateley School.”
