GCE (A-Level) Post results
Overview
After receiving your examination results, it is crucial to be aware of your options and the services available to you. Our comprehensive post-result services are designed to ensure you have the support and resources necessary to address any concerns or issues regarding your exam outcomes. We encourage you to discuss your plans with your teachers, form tutors, and parents to make informed decisions.
Available Services
We offer several post-result services for both GCE and GCSE students, each tailored to meet specific needs:
- Request for Photocopy of Scripts
- Deadline: 4 September 2024 (GCSE), 12pm 22 August 2024 (GCE)
- Enables you to review your marked exam scripts to make informed decisions about further actions.
- Review of Marking
- Deadline: 24 September 2024
- If you believe there has been an error in the marking, you can request a review. Note that marks can go up, down, or remain unchanged.
- Clerical Re-check
- Deadline: 24 September 2024
- The exam board will recheck the calculation of marks to ensure accuracy.
- Review of Moderation
- Available only upon request by the Head of Department and authorised by the Headteacher.
- Appeals
- Stage 1 Preliminary Appeal: Within 30 days of the RoR outcome.
- Stage 2 Appeal Hearing: Within 14 days of receiving the preliminary appeal outcome letter.
- Resits
- Deadline: 23 September 2024
- For GCSE Maths & English, forms must be signed by the Head of Department and submitted to the Exams Office.
Fees and Deadlines
Each service comes with specific deadlines and may require a fee. All payments should be made via Scopay under the respective category for GCSE or GCE post-result services. Detailed fee structures and deadlines are outlined in the attached documents for both GCSE and GCE exams.
